One that way to long to Finish 8-)

Hi Everyone

I bought this SSD several years ago looking like this

The story goes something like this , when I grew up the SSD900 was the bike I wanted but couldn't afford , many years later a mate phones me up as says Dude I have a Duke, you wont like when I tell you what it is , yeah sure you do , so he sent me the pictures and there she was . Already owning a MHR Millie I said to him if you ever wanna sell her let me know , several month later I bought it properly more at the higher end of what she was worth ,never the less its was mine now.

The quest began to source all the missing or incorrect parts (Lots) made many good friends alone the way that helped with parts and their knowledge Thanks to you all , you know who you are

Didnt even take her for a ride , when she arrived the every next day I pulled it down to every nut and bolt

Paint was sent out and same for the engine , when those parts came back I was still looking for missing parts with the prices of parts that seemed to climb everday ,I ended buying a donor bike that needed everything done to it but just wasnt worth doing so I managed to get almost everything until one day Craig mentioned the rear peg extenders Doh forgot all about those , blow me down there was a set at Fleebay the very next day --they were mine at all costs -- got them 8-)

Two and a halve years later the final motivator was my sons 9th birthday , in the state of NSW Australia your not allowed to carry a child under the age of 7 and it took me an extra 2 years to finish her , there are several items still to be addressed but they can wait for now -- Can you pick them

The end result

Just found a pair of rear shock bolts and correct washers they were my last thing to find

I don't know enough to know what is incorrect and what is correct, but it looks amazing now! Congratulations. We are currently restoring my F1, it has been a most time consuming and pernickety job but is fun too!

Enjoy riding it!

Very nice!
I just sold mine to buy a Bimota DB2. I owned mine since new back in 1980. There is one thing I see that is different than my bike but I'm not talking. :-)
Enjoy!
