Thanks for the info Flyn. I was told by the gentleman who this bike came from, that it was used as a flat track racer at some point.
You should have seen the pile of stuff the old guy had.
I mean literally a pile, we had to dig through it to get at anything, frames, motors, bicycles, furniture, sinks, all crammed in this little shed that was ready to fall down.
It was an interesting experience.
Not a Desmo in the bunch but still some really cool stuff.
Here's what I came out of it with....

Some narrow case 250's and a wide case 350.

Another narrow case 250 with cylinder and head. I have all the transmission parts and engine covers in a box.

Yet another narrow case 250 complete.
This motor was frozen and as I dug into it found that it was just a seized piston.
The lower end moves very nicely.
I also have the original (I think) Dellorto SS1 for it in nice shape.
This one will be the next project after I'm done (crosses fingers) with the 450.

Random frame and forks. Not sure what this is from yet.
A bit overwhelmed with all of this stuff right now, trying to remember what is what and what is where.
But damn is it fun, and I am learning a TON about these old birds.
It's really nice to have all of the donor parts to dissect and pull from.
In the end I am hoping to have two running bikes.
These old motors are beautiful and sometimes feel almost like jewelry.
Lot's of work to do, but luckily I am in no hurry.
I'll keep posting as the work progresses and I am sure I'll have a lot of questions along the way.
-Cheers
