Need Help - What bike is this from??

I'm working on restoring a 350 widecase scrambler. The tank was in decent, but not great shape. I found a tank that was advertised as being from a scrambler that was in great shape. However, the tank is not shaped the same as my original tank, and it has a completely different rear mounting arrangement. I'm trying to find out what bike this tank came from. I can't find any pictures that show a similar mounting arrangement to what this tank has. Any suggestions?

Here is my original tank.

And here is the tank I am trying to identify

The rear of the new tank has a post instead of the tab found on the original scrambler tank, and the rear of the tank slopes down in a more "tear-drop" shape. Also, the gas cap opens by pusing a button instead of turning the level found on most single's tanks. The top of the gas cap says "Supercortemaggiore". Any suggestions?

thanks

Del

The top all chrome tank looks ITALIAN widecase street-scrambler

The bottom looks like one off a smaller (125-250) made in Spain Moto-trans

Dont de-value your Italian bike with an obvious wrong part.

mototrans tanks are not mounted at the headstock .
they have 2 pins under the tank that go into rubberlined holes

I think that it could be from a ITALJET america 1965, see Mick Walkers italian classic gallery road bikes, page 108. the bike was a 125 cz 2stroke so the inside of the tank will be clean & no rust [oil in fuel]. cheers tonyS.
