Mark III frame from 60's?
Guy from work is going through some things at his uncles house and he came across one, and asked me if I knew anything about it...
I dont, so does anyone here know? Is it rare (at all), is it worth much?
Any help is appreciated.

Well it's a narrow-case frame, which makes it pre-69? It is definitely worth something, maybe a lot, and the best way to find out is to put it on eBay.

Looks like a pretty much run of the mill narrowcase frame to me. Not all that rare but certainly worth something. Any reason you think it's from a Mark 3? I'm no expert so don't know how to tell, but in the vast majority of cases this sort of stuff is from a Monza, not a Mark 3 or Diana or whatever.
I have no idea what it's worth, prices seem to have changed since I was buying stuff. FWIW the last bare frame I got was free (but from a 160 and damaged). Judging by the battery tray that's a 250 or 350 frame.

This is a narrowcase monza or sebring frame. If it has two sharpened pins welded to the backbone for the front seat mount, it's a "square style" frame. If the seat mounts with a bolt through the frame at the front, it's a "round style" frame. As far as value, it looks to be in good condition since paint is intact and not rusty, mounting tabs appear to be in place. You'd have to look at some details for a better idea of condition: is upper rear motor mount cracked? are the footpeg splines rounded off or still sharp? Does the swingarm move freely (pivot shafts get rusty)? Are the steering races loose in the steering head or good press fit? Are shock mount stud threads in good condition? A good condition monza frame is probably worth $60-$100 but expensive (and a hassle) to ship so a local buyer is the best prospect. Try craigslist before ebay.

I have seen narrow case frames go for $200-$250 top depending on condition. Personally, I would not pay that much, as they could be found for free if you ask around and pick up locally. Not as valuable as some people think they would be. Dan

Biggest difference in Monza/Diana/Mach1 frames are the location of the threaded bungs under the battery box that the pegs and exhaust hang from.
if you post a good close up side shot of the frame I could tell better?
