new guy..too many bikes..Scrambler 250 nc.
I've been lurking here for a while. Finally thought I would put up a post.
I've got several bikes but the one I'm restoring right now is a 1965 250 Scrambler. Seems like there are quite a few guys with Scramblers on the board. It was a fairly original bike when I purchased it.....with the exception of incorrect carb & headlight. I have the bike 95% torn down at the moment. Parts are heading off to the Chromer next week!
I'll post pictures if anyone is interested.
Cheers
Kyle

Sure, post up a "before" pic or two- I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd like to see a rescued Scrambler. They're great little Ducatis that I bet are appreciated here.
BTW, I hope you have a good chrome plater that you trust and have clear communication with. I've been really disappointed with some parts I've had chromed- even when I specifically ask they they do not polish out numbers/letters on original rims, casting marks on shifter pedals, ect., they do anyway. Turns out the guys doing the actual work don't speak or read English- makes it kind of hard to get work done as requested. I've had vintage parts returned that look like they belong on a show chopper, they just look so wrong and incorrect that they actually lessen the value of my machine.
Good luck!

Scott, I think 10k is about right, if the bike is restored properly.
He might sit on it for a while, but eventually the right buyer will come around.
Cheers

He said he sen one go for that amount I said that was Austrailian $$$ worth about 1/3 our $$$
I don't think the #s match the year etc etc...
I don't know and just like rattling his chain ... he keeps coming back for more ...
Harmless fun on both parts ...

You should check the conversion rate $1 = 0.991313 AUD! which is why lots of bevel Ducati's are heading down under currently.

Yeah I was just BSing this guy he has a personality that just thrives on an argument and I love to build him up and then Wham !! pull the rug from under him...
I checked the #s with someone here more knowledgable than Me, and they did not match the Year #s and Motor# ...
Still a nice unit to own ,Buddy was sort of claiming that is was 100% correct...
