Mark III Identity parade Part2
Decompression lever housing, I assume that for whatever reason the rest of the housing has been damaged and or sawn off. Anyone got a detailed quality photograph of what it should look like ? Perhaps you have one for sale.
Headlamp shrouds, the full wraparound type appears to be of stainless, and standard for 74, but what about the other two it could be that one of the bands has been removed. I have seen photos where it appears that no band around the rubber mount is in place only the in and outboard plate with two bolts as per one of my specimens.
unidentified parts - 2 x U loop and 6 x shoulder bracket - seat perhaps ? There is a stanadard MK3 dualseat, but it is dismembered.
Steering damper assembly - one set seems more or less as per the Haynes manual, the other is perhaps incomplete. Noteworthy are the two different damper knob styles, damper rods are 7mm x 300mm and 8mm x 285. The 7mm rod has a split pin drilling at the bottom and the top 10mm is unthreaded and slightly narrower in diameter. The 8mm is partially threaded top and bottom, no split pin hole and no unthreaded section at one end.
I suspect that the 7mm is original with the smaller diameter knob, the other incomplete set is perhaps not ducati ??
kickstart lever - both levers appear to be more or less the same, one still on the engine has a chrome cap about 10mm deep with some kind of split pin through the other has only (and has only room for) a circlip. Are they both correct ?
PS the parts list is on order !
