They look great and I am sure they must be worth some good money. But I bet it can't compare to how much fun they would be to ride.

I take it your selling ?
Also presume that all are complete and in running order.
VERY nice collection of bikes.
Nos 1, 2 and 5 take my eye, with #2 the standout.
From the top -
1/ 9-11,000 ,,,,, maybe 15k tops if you find the right buyer, and it looks as good in the flesh as it does in the pic.
2/ 8-10,000 ,,,,, Again, depends on buyer, but I think this one a desirable rarity, so should be amongst first sold. Could fetch 12-13k if you find a cashed up collector, who's short of that model to complete a set.
3/ 6-8,000
4/ 5-6,000
5/ 10-12,000 ,,,, nice example, but they are not THAT rare.
Try calling Ian Gowenloch at Gowenloch Motorcycle Engineering in Sydney.
He'd be the most knowledgable bloke on those models, and probably can point you towards some prospectives, if thats what your looking for.

I really dont know about the four first, but I know a little about the last one. I would have thought that would make 25 plus all day in OZ. They are not mine, but a friends who is thinking if getting rid of them all.
Thanks Gum

I have a #2 but a '68 Desmo, I've seen one selling for $20,000 but my guess would be around $15,000.

Prices
I would think that number two would easily bring $15k. Number 3 would be $6k and number 4 $15k if it is original, maybe more.

Gum,
You've asked a very hard question given that there is little info on condition of these bikes. You also state that you seek prices that you can expect with out too much trouble. If you were to make sure they ran and were detailed you would place them well on the market. Presuming they are complete and are potential runners with little work to be done then I would venture (from the top):- $18K $11K $7K $7K $20K
Also it is worthwhile remembering that the time of year that you put them up for sale has bearing on the number of potential buyers out there. Now is not the time. Easter onwards to October is generally best. But having said that it never hurts to have a go at advertising them. The twin filler is a really nice Ducati model.

Thanks
Thanks for the imput, why I ask is that if he sells them, its me who will be doing all the work. The old ones are fully restored, the twins are original. Its up to me as to how much work I put into each bike VS the return he gets. They have been sitting for a long time and not in ideal conditions. When I say that, my bikes are inside or similar. These have been looked after but just not as good as they should have been. I guess if I get one bike a time at my place, sort it then sell it, then in to the other.
Thanks, I can let him know what he may be able to expect.

[QUOTE=Gum;990636]Gday, all need some work to sort it out before use, but otherwise really nice. Im in Australia. Dont know much about singles pricing, please be conservative as I dont want to get my hopes up.Thanks Gum
[QUOTE]
When I considered the pricing, I took GUM's original post into account, as highlighted above.
I've got a 30 acre block of land that I'm under no pressure to sell, so thought I'd stick a high price on it, and see what happens. Four years down the track, and 3 price drops later, still nothing happening. Maybe I scared off any potential buyers from the outset.
You can sell anything at any time ,,,,,, at a price that "Meets The Market"
When GUM asked for "Conservative, I don't want to get my hopes up", I considered that, along with the now well worn reason of "Global Financial Crisis", together with the current time of year.
In keeping with the above, I'll stick with my original estimates, with concession that maybe I've undervalued #5 a tad.
There are a few examples of #1 around, that from what I can see in the pic, are in better nick than GUM's mate's bike. The colours have gone off a bit, and theres no lustre to the bike overall, so I gauged the rest of the bike from that superficial aspect.
I still like #2, and might consider corresponding directly with GUM on that one.
It's a "Pearler", but maybe some of that opinion is overly emotional, because I had one "back then".
As to #5. Yeah, nice bike, but there's a few of them around, and on the market. The old "Supply & Demand" scenario. A mate of mine has got an absolutely IMMACULATE "Green frame" personally signed by Paul Smart, for which he paid $20,000. I know which of the two has the greater value, and the difference of dollars between them, hence my seemingly lower estimate.
I'd come up to $15,000 for #5, if it is a particularly good one.
I'm sure there'd be plenty of other opinions out there, from more informed sources than me.
To get more perspectives, maybe contact Shannon's Insurance for a quote. They specialise in rare motorcycles, so would have good idea of market values for such bikes.
Also, float the pics past a few Ducati Owner's Club forums.
I'm a member of The Ducati Owner's Club of NSW and the Hunter D.O.G's. Both have websites.
And Ian Gowenloch would still be an authoritive source.
