fitted ducabike rearsets
So I fitted these. Look great, I've got them on the highest position and it feels a lot more sporty, better for spirited riding.
However it does nothing for the right heat shield problem, in fact if anything it makes it worse. Especially the rear brake access. I have to now contort my ankle in a weird position to brake. Who found the heat shield problem gone with the wind by fitting these rearsets? More than the peg, the brake lever has become even more uncomfortable to use.
If I want to get the lever out I'll have to get the whole brake cylinder assembly out; or I can attach a tube to make the stub of the lever longer.
The pins to make the pegs non-foldable are not included, have to make them yourself. Is it better to have them fold or have them stiff in the event of a crash? I've got rear pegs and frame sliders too.
Or best is to get some aftermarket heatshield and end this problem once and for all. Which one is the best?

question: does it offer lots of adjustments? i am really bothered about the hight adjustment...i think that they wont get the pegs as high as i need...
answer to your question: if you are in a corner and your non-foldable pegs hit the ground, you will probably crash... yes if you crash it will be better if they are none foldable since they will act like a second slider but its better if they fold-up...

I don't think I'll be cornering on the streets where I've got to worry about the pegs hitting the road I'll try them with the pins in, I can always remove them in a minute.
Only 2 positions for height and at the top position it feels very sporty and I believe it would get a lil uncomfortable for touring. I'm 6' tall. But looks awesome and pretty inexpensive. Plus it does the job for me. What do u suggest for the right heel problem?

How many times do you really use the rear brake?

You got screwed, the pins were included with the set I got, just get a set of roll pins from any hardware store, that's all you need.

So you never use the park brake in a car with an auto tranny then.

They screwed me on the bar ends too; they don't fit. I think they're sending me new ones so perhaps a genuine mistake.

Would it hurt my ankle and will I need to apply heatshield over my ankle?
