They are bloody expensive to run.Mine cost me £620 to service here in sunny uk.I thought that the service costs had come down a bit for Ducati.Obviously not.

For 7.5k miles I serviced it at the "independent" shop (not Ducati dealer) which charged around $850 dollars for the labor and parts. But this time I want the bike to be serviced and tuned by those who are supposed to know what they do...

Did you get you belts changed at 7500? My dealer said I don't need to change them till 15k, just check the tension.... Unless they have serious signs of wear.
$1000 for 7500 mile service at our dealership here.

My dealer quoted 11 hours @ $85 per, plus parts...I saved over $300 by changing my own oil, cleaning/lubing/adjusting the chain, flushing the clutch/brakes, swapping out my airfilter (K&N) and checking the tightness of all the fasteners, all stuff that I do regularly anyway...the dealer basically did the belts, valves, sparkplugs, TB balance, etc.

Did you have a BAD experience? Im dreading my valve adjustments and have been considering the alternative shops. I usually only have a bike for around 12k anyways but i may have to keep this one longer.

Just got the quotes from Ducati Beverly Hills and Ducati Santa Barbara. Both would do the service for $1,100. I don't know why Ducati Newport Beach's service is $450 dollars more expensive.

Be careful here. To comply with the terms of the warranty, the belts are supposed to be replaced every 15000 miles/24000 km or two years, whichever comes first.

Thanks flyin.... I was wondering the same thing. My warranty is up on march 15th so I'm getting the leaking ohlins forks seals done before it expires... Dealer told me to bring it in before than, and that's when I asked him about the belts.... I even said what if I want them changed..? And he just said that I would be waisting my money by getting them changed so early.... I won't be in to get the valves done till early summer as I'm only at 11,000 kms exactly.
