but a unbreakable will and a great heart..
great to hear from you... wait if this is really you, that means you escaped? haha... you are probably thinking "who is this guy?" well I personally never met you, but I've been following your story since the accident. I gotta say, you are one strong son of a b*tch. I''m glad you are staying strong and so positive. Hope you get out of that hospital and start riding soon. Well gotta go and get some sleep... been pulling an all nighter....
again, welcome back.
-If you can't go around it, might as well enjoy it-

G'day GILLY ,,,,, from the "Land Downunder"
Glad to hear that you survived such a monumental crash ,,,,,, many don't.
I'm guessing that maybe the typist for the above post is somebody logged in on your behalf ,,,, hang in there mate, you'll be hitting the keys soon enough for yourself.
Arms mend fairly quickly ,,,, pelvis a bit longer, but eventually,,,, almost as good as new.
The leg ,,,, what can I say ,,,,, What can anybody say, or think ,,,,, NOTHING.
Only somebody who has suffered such would even begin to understand the personal impact.
What I can say is that although I've never met or corresponded with you, I can place you right up there with the very best of people.
How do I arrive at that ?
The response by people on this forum, especially those who do know you.
You must be held in VERY high esteem by a LOT of people, because there have been thousands view and respond to the threads pertaining to you and the crash.
Here in Australia we have a group known as the "Hunter D.O.G.S"
Being the Hunter Valley Ducati Owners Group.
On 06 November 2007, one of our members (Scott Priestley) crashed his 1098, which resulted in him suffering horrific injuries, which he is still a looooong way from recovering from.
Scotty is now the "Top Dog" and webmaster of the group.
Scott is held in similar high esteem by our group, as you are amongst the Ducati.MS people.
The group's website is currently down, but when it's up again, I will send you a link to the many threads on Scott's crash, and his brave efforts towards a recovery.
Hang in there mate, it might not be great, but it can only get better from here.
Sincere best wishes for the best possible outcomes.
Trevor

Hi Gilly, So sorry to hear about your terrible accident. As said above, it's good to see that you have a strong resolve and I'm sure it will stand you in good stead for the winding road to come. I wish you well and hope that all the good luck that you are now owed (!!!!) will see you right for the future.
Best wishes from the U.K
Andrew

Gilly, we have had you in our minds non-stop. So glad you are able to post and this must be a good sign. Every time I would log on was to first see how you have been progressing. Then I would check what the other Assholes were doing in Chitchat - you know, Metaltard, Wangway and the crew

bill you crazy SOB, SO good to see your name pop up!!! I'm not going to,play around here, beat around the bush as they say... If I hear you hesitate about attending ECM.. I will ride from California on my hyper, strap you to the back like a spaghetti western damsel on a horse, and drive your hesitating ass (more on this later but while we're on the subject of hesitating asses, did you know that in your absence duckman's ass didn't poop for five days in protest?.. True story, anyway, where was I)... O yea, I'm going to strap your hesitating ass on my bike and Haul you up to Fontana. So, while I've been told not to unduly pressure you, I tend to lend a deaf ear, and prefer to focus you on what matters, chilling with your Ducati.ms buddies... You've been forefront in our minds daily... Get better you crazy Fokker. (and for Pete's sake learn to type properly, you know the moderators get all anal about proper syntax and grammar)
Ps: I was just thinking... This might be your one chance to post pics of naked chicks without getting banned... Carpediem!!!!
