14 T sprocket

Does the SFS require a speed healing device when changing the front sprocket for the smaller option?

Ha finally a straight foreword mod!
How come? Is the speed measured through the wheel speed sensor?

I am having the 14T sprocket installed during my 7500 mile service. Vic also mentioned that it really awakens the bike and I may want to increase the level of the DTS by 1 or 2. As they are having to replace my tank I have not taken my bike back yet.
