Let's see... development of a new motor and bike typically runs a few million to 10 million dollars so add that to the rest and it would be an expensive one off..

the rumor came from MCN and it suggested it is already in the works, said the 1199 panigale motor will fit in the frame with no issues, and it should produce close to 180 hp with the current airbox. The streetfighter is no longer top naked out there, the apprillia tuono rsv4 has it beat. thoughts?

I suggested this "model" as an addition to the SF lineup in another thread a few weeks back, my feeling being Ducati needed something to fill the $6k gap between the 848 SF and the new 1098 SFS. My thought was more power than the current big boy, but just with stock suspension and no DTC. Sell for $16-17k and let the buyer bling out whichever way they want.

I reckon that would make the 1098 sfs obsolete, put the engine in both the sf and sfs ..... Happy days!

Thx!
