Special rear nut tool needed ?

Hello,
I need to buy a new 55 mm polygonal tool to remove the rear wheel but I found special machined tool on ebay that promise to not scratch the nut, so is better buy a special cnc tool or it's ok a common 55 mm socket tool? Thanks!

I like and use the SpeedyMoto socket. Don't go with a cheap product...it's not worth the potential problems you may encounter. And, don't use a standard socket. There is a lot of torque on that nut.

The CNC one is shit.

I got one to undo the rear & it rounded off where the strongarm fits

Nearly broke my fcukin wrist

Get a proper hex socket

Don't mess with the aluminum ones, especially if you intend to use an impact wrench. The Speedymoto socket is the best one because it has a pilot that extends into the axle to prevent the socket cocking and slipping off.

We use this one:
CORSE DYNAMICS Wheel Nut Socket: 1098/1198/MTS1200/Streetfighter/Diavel

This tool was specifically designed to work with OEM Ducati Nuts, Billet Aftermarket Nuts, or Titanium Nuts. This is the only steel tool on the market that has been made to work with all nuts on the market.

A standard socket will not fit properly on your 1098-1198-Streetfighter and MTS 1200 wheel nut. This is because the large axle nuts on the 1098-1198-Streetfighter, have a special inner taper.

The low profile and locator built into the socket keeps the tool from slipping off the nut when tightening

Thats the one I got (from you). Works great and didn't even mark up my axle nuts that I had powdercoated. And make sure to buy their chain tensioning tool with the bottle opener built in
