The next issue

Hi again,

Well I finally installed the clutch on the original drum and it works (but still slips) I have sanded down the steel plates both side to remove some of the glazing which occurred during my attempts to use the new NGR billet drum. Fingers crossed they bed in after a few 100 kms. Much to my disappointment I have had no word from the boys at Motowheels from where the drum came from, which is a shame. They always seem so keen to help on prior requests. I'm hoping they are flat out busy and just haven't had time to reply.

Now the new/old issue, this was happening just before (couple of hundred km) I changed the clutch.

It's like the throttle is sticking, you go from 3rd to 2nd (using clutch) at around 5000 rpm as low as 3500 rpm pull the clutch and it hold revs at around 2500 rpm. Give it a toot and it drops right down to idle. Some times it takes 3 toots. I have a EVOLUZIONE Throttle Controller EVOLUZIONE Throttle Controller: 749/999/1098/848/SF which I have on the bike for around 15000km. I pulled it apart and all looks good, not the best feeling when you are coming into a 90 degree corner!

Could it be something to do with the oxygen sensor? I really don't want to take it to the dealer as I know they will sting me for any repairs. I love my little Streetfighter but its losing its shine with the latest issues.

Any help is greatly appreciated and thanks for reading.

Sounds like the throttle cables may need adjusting? It's a pull-pull arrangement, so make sure both cables are properly adjusted.

Our Tech guy ( Matt) is out with the flu for the last week.
Try contacting Nick@motowheels.com or Ed at 916.369.2509. Neither have installed as many clutches as Matt though but they can dig up instructions from the MFG in Italy.
