SF-S buying question & advice please

Hi all,

I am looking at 2010 SF-S with 3800 miles and following mods

- claimed full termi exhaust system
- carbon hugger and exhausts heat shield
- STM clutch slave cylinder
- DP clutch pressure plate and speedymoto(?) vented billtet cover
- Rizoma adjustable flip up levers
- LED turn signals all around
- Rizoma fender eliminator kit imstalled
- no stock passenger seat and only one black key and key code card and owners manual

Owner is second owner bought bike as is with all mods from dealer and is not very knowledgeable about ducatis. This is where it gets tricky and I need help here

1. How do I confirm that the termi is full systems versus slip on? owner does not have original ECU, filter, db killers etc..
2. Owner claims that there was never a white SF-S in the US and that previous owner swapped body from red color to white at dealer - the white tank and body work is perfect
3. Has only one black key and key code card - assuming that is good as I have no exprience with red key (both my 996 and monster are old)
4. Did not know anything about tank recall - may need to check into it

Can you please share your responses for above questions. I have seen similarly equipped bieks sell from $13.5k to $15k. what is reasonable price you think. Attached are some pics.

You can always check by yourself what ECU is installed. DP ECU supplied with the full termi system displays a message "EVO Racing USA" (or something like that) when you turn the ignition key. Or just check ECU's serial number and compare it against DP unit.
Aside from the message the full termi pipes are wider (just a little) than the stock ones. My bike had the servo motor removed (since a full termi doesn't utilize it). So the lack of servo motor could be a good indication it is a full system.
The full system comes with DP air filters. Just unbolt one of the air intakes and see if the bike is equipped with the DP air filters (but DP air filters could be supplied with the slipons as well. I am not sure if they are exclusive to full system only).
There is no red key. Just two "regular" black ones.

I bought a used SFS as well and did not know if it was a full system. Mine (just checked it) says "SF S Racing" when ignition is turn on? At my 7500 the shop said it was full with chip and filters.

To first post, mine had 3200 and near the same upgrades, I paid 15k.

+1.... The lower loops of the exhaust pipe shows an absent servo motor

Call me suspicious, but 2 owners, of an otherwise immaculate bike, shows gross under-use of a SF. Also whilst the body panels may have been "swapped" has there also been some paintwork done (those tiny radiator guards are They silver - stock - or painted? Hard to tell from where I sit). Missing second keys? No dB killers ( they are really hard to replace and, if you value your hearing, are necessary for street commuting) ? Could just be a series of unfortunate events....or not....

The radiator guards look stock in both size, and color, JDW. I don't believe they've been touched. What is it that you are seeing?

I think I saw this bike on CL or cycle trader last year (before Aug) when I was looking about and contemplating an SF. That ad had the same dealer-swap explanantion for white panels/tank on an SFS. I wonder if that was the sale from the original owner to the current owner.

The exhaust guard looks to be bare metal too, that should be black. or did the termi system guard come bare metal?

Yep base model frame was black, S model frame was titanium/gold color (IMHO black frame looks better with white).

It's very easy to tell them apart:

Standard exhaust with slip-ons:

Full system with 70mm pipe:

Copperhead, The bike in your picture has a full system.

That is a full system exhaust but I cannot confirm the ECU from the pic, on start-up the Dash reads: "SF S RACING EVO" - my guess is it's in there.

He's right that color combo has never been offered from the factory. All whits SF's are base models with a black frame and black wheels.

There should be a second black key but there is no red key with the SF - only a code card.

There is no tank recall. only the original warranty.

That exhaust system alone was $3600 and I can see many expensive additions to the bike.
Looks like it has an ohlins damper too - that is not factory.
The S should have a carbon front fender, I think I would have kept that on even with the body swap.

I would think anything below $16K is a steal. It's a cool and unique looking bike.

Zvez that exhaust guard is a DP part.
