New Owner

Hello Everyone!

Two days ago I purchased a new red 2012 SFS. SO far Ive only logged in 140 or so miles and have enjoyed every bit of it! This is my first ever sport bike. The "fastest" bike Ive ever riden was a 1985 Kawi Eliminator 900. The SFS is in another league. I do have lots of expirience with bikes so it was the appropriate time to purchase this bike. I warmed her up after about 7 miles or so and than did a smooth 6K accell and engine brake. Rode another 7 or so miles and did one more to 8K. Hopefully that was enough to seal the rings. The rest of the riding has been variable speeds no more than 6k.

First thing I did when I got home was order the Duc brand tail tidy to remove that horrendous plastic monstronsity. I also ordered the carbon-look tank guard as I cant imagine my jeans not detroying the paint on the tank after a fw hundred miles. Next are Termi slip-ons, open clutch cover and new clutch plate, and maybe mirrors. Seriously this bike is so beautiful as it is I cant imagine doing much more to it. YEAH RIGHT!!

I also ordered a few bottles of K100. Im not sure if this is going to work but it will go in every tank of gas until the time ethanol is removed from our gas (if ever). Does it work? Hell I dont know but I'm not taking any chances. I found out about it reading this.....

plastic tanks - Triumph Forum: Triumph Rat Motorcycle Forums

Also this might be handy as well....

Ethanol-free gas stations in the U.S. and Canada

Sorry to if this info has already been posted.

Anyway I look forward to learning from everyone and making some friends.

Your bike looks great if I'm doing a hand stand.
