Hello everybody
I just picked up a 2010 Streetfighter about a week and a half ago.
Many hours have been spent on this site beforehand and after doing research. So, thanks for all the advice I've already been able to get!
Figured I'd introduce myself here as well as the mandatory thread.
My about me: I am not a spam robot
I was totally unprepared to purchase an SF so soon, my plan was to pick one up in spring, but this popped up unexpectedly right at my hometown dealership at a price I couldn't refuse. 10,000 + tax and it was mine
And so here is my New/Used 2010 Streetfighter with 0 miles!
and as she sits with the rest of the collection - with 10 miles now.. It'll be a long winter.

Wow, that's a great deal!!! You got a lot of motorcycle for $10,000. I wish I could stumble on deals like that. Maybe some day. Welcome to the Streetfighter cult. That RC51 is going to be upset when you start comparing the new SF to it. The SF is going to feel a lot different in a good way.

Welcome! This forum is a fun place. There are a lot of different people here. There is even a clown among: Johny DeJoke. Don't pay attention to what he says. No one takes him seriously. He is a forum idiot.

Hi Unconnected, welcome to the forum and congrats on the SF - intelligent choice in bikes!!
Sorry for Sputz's threadjack, though given your background you are more than capable of making your own mind up on his antics:

Sputniks says:
Steetfighter as First Bike
I'm 41 years old. And I've just got my motorcycle driving license! I am very excited since I've been dreaming to ride Ducati for years! Now to the question.
My entire motorcycle driving experience is only 10 hours long: riding 150 CC honda on a empty parking lot. I would honestly rate my moto-riding skills at 3 points (out of 10). Would it be safe for me to get Streetfighter S as a first bike? I know it is extremely powerful machine. And it requires very skillful rider to appreciate its power. But I just like it so much. I really would love to have a reason to ride it.
