Camera tips
Santa's bringing me a GoPro2. What's the latest tech/tips. Couple of you guys were experimenting with tank and bar mounts. Have you come up with a system you like. Is there a mount worth buying or is a custom one the only way.

Just buy the roll bar mount. You can find them off eBay for cheap.

I use the handle bar mount for my gopro. It works well but vibrates a bit. You can also mount it on the frame with that mount. I tested it out on the rear peg, I used a piece of tube and clamped it down over it. Doesn't look like it would slip off.

The suction cup mounted to the tank just behind the gas cap works well for me.

just doing my piece to save someone from playing around with mounts for a month ( i think i spent way too much time effing with mounts) only to find out the Ram Mount is the way to go.
I did another mount that took a mini tripod head and attached the gopro to the head so I had tilt/pan while riding. Got the inspiration while trying to shoot video of a cycling outing on the Hyper.
Im still on the look out for a small/light weight, yet well built friction head for a still camera. The tests I've done with the cheap POS head actually turned out nice. It let you come up from behind someone, camera aimed forward, slide over to slowly pass them and hold the framing of them. The gopro shoots so wide, you can't aim it badly.
Thanks for the Insp. Gadget plug, but I kinda like my name.

Make sure you get the right sized U-Bolt. There are different sizes. There are also kits, or ala cart pieces.
For the money, I'd get a couple of the handle bar kits. I leave the u-bolts on the bikes.
Any mounting onto the SF main frame spars required the use of the hose strap type setup. The frame is too fat for the u-bolts. This would be for shooting the front wheel or shifting video.
