Engine oil looks weird

What might have caused this on the sight glass?
It cannot be condense, can it?
I've heard that high level of oil which seems to be the case here can cause engine damage which in turn can lead to coolant mixture with the oil.

Recently changed oil at a dealer.
The bike mounted on the depot stand so it was pretty much balanced.
So first thing is the oil level which can be noted as high but then that coated shit inside..

Oil + water = white goop.

Level is high though.

Condensation, because it's too cold to evaporate the water. Cure is to go for a long hard ride, which will be awhile, seeing you're in Sweden. Figure on April.

some have said, that if after a nice ride and you arrive home, you can remove the oil filler cap and let the "steam" out. Just be aware that if you start your bike with that cap off, your bike will puke oil violently.

Like jules said, when coolant mixes with oil it tends to make a gray/milky-brown mixture that you can't see through. I wouldn't rule it out, though. Watch the temp gauge carefully.

If there's just some water condensation in the oil, that's not a huge deal, but it's hard to imagine there being enough to push the oil level up that high. A good 30 minute ride should cause any condensation in the oil to evaporate into steam, which will vent through the crankcase ventilation system - no need to run it with the oil cap off.

Thanks for all the replies!

First thing i will do is to tap some oil. Stated that the level of oil is to high.
From that point i could try to analyse the oil.

You're right ttpete about the weather being to cold but no snow yet.. Its about 5-10 celcius here.. And we're talking in december. Something tells me that the spring will kick off early Mars.

Perhaps its not to late for city riding then. I'll look into it a dry day since a wet day will contribute to more cooling.

Oh and if it is coolant in the oil...
It does look gray..

Does this mean that the engine is damaged and leaking coolant internally?

A lot of white smoke at start-up would suggest a possible failed head gasket (coolant leaking internally).

Ugh.. That would be a nightmare.
Is this generally caused by high oil level?!

I did run the bike once with to low coolant which caused the engine to stop several times on lowspeed due to insufficient air stream. I figured that this could be the high temp. Atleast the engine stoped which i guess must have been a safety action.
These stops didnt occur when riding in high speed thanks to the air helping to cool the engine.
But correct me if iam wrong.

I think you have just found your problem. Why was your bike low on coolant in the first place? Did you have an external coolant leak? If you where running the bike low on coolant and the engine was hot enough to stall out either by the computer as a safety measure or possibly by the engine and combustion chamber in the heads getting so over heated that proper combustion couldn't take place. Running an engine while it's overheating can cause serious damage. It can blow head gaskets and other seals and warp metals. It can also damage other metal parts in the valve train. After reading your newest information I believe you have a problem here. I now believe it's not just condensation in the oil. Especially the oil being so over full. Your bike more than likely has coolant in the oil cause either by a failed head gasket or a warped head.
