Which aftermarket seat is best?

Hello Guys
I'm looking for an aftermarket seat to prevent my "bollocks" from
hitting the gas tank at seveare braking.
I see ducati makes two in theire aftermarket catalogue , the racing version and the touring version , wich is more suited to do the job?
Looks are important aswell , and I don't mind getting my ass a few inches up so there is more leg room , I gladly take the more front lean with it , for more
front end feel , as I am used to ride sporting motorcycles.
Any thoughts and pictures off youre set up much aprieciated
cheers
Peter

The DP touring seat is commonly used and is well liked by many forum members. It adds comfort to the ride and is also said to add a little height to the seat. The construction is also said to be good. I don't own the seat yet but may purchase one. The only drawback for me is the DP seat being a little higher than the stock seat. I'm short and I really don't wan't to be any higher up on the bike at stops. The stock seat doesn't bother me to badly so I might just wait on this for a while. The DP touring seat is also not water proof so if you ride in the rain or park your bike and it gets rained on your will have a wet back side when you leave. This doesn't bother me because I only ride in the dry weather.

It blows my mind that Ducati makes a touring seat that isn't water proof. More like "comfort seat."

I underwent the exact same search around 500 miles ago. I needed a "sticky" seat and decided to purchase the ducati race seat. LOVE IT! It raised me a bit and has a little more padding around the croch area. I can scooter back on the seat now and stay there under heavy braking. I highly recommend it.

True, except it only lasts about 3k miles, then the thing starts to come apart.....

The posts so far are about right. I think it's called the Ducati Comfort seat. I spray-waterproffed mine and have had no problems yet. I'm at around 2,400 miles on the bike with it with absolutely no problems yet.

It definitely helps keeping your crotch from getting jammed into the tank.

It's like a neoprene cover, so not waterproof, but so far I'm good with the waterproof spray.

It's holding up fine for me so far. I'm happy with purchasing it, it was a little over $200 I think.

I'm still on Sargent's list for their seat when they come out with it for the SF, but the date keeps getting pushed. Last I checked it was gonna b ready late November of this year...

Hope this helps. Cheers.
