Shiftech Carbon Fiber Shift Rod

Just picked this up from Shiftech. Nice little mod that removes the unsightly stock rod. Very well made and very strong...

I think I picked up a few horse power with this...

Looks nice, BTW, where'd you get the rear pegs, I've seen them before but forgot where, as I'd like to get something with a bit more grip than factory
Thanks!
Chris

Chris at Desmoworld.de has a similar product with anodized fittings on each end, I've installed them on both the S4Rs and the SFs, the quality is first class you just have to make sure that you order the correct length.

Chis,

I have the same pegs, they're Oberons which I purchased from Bellissimoto (Randy gives a 10% discount to forum members). They're better than stock, but not so much so when wet...so I took a file to the nub surfaces to make their edges grippier...

I find the touring pegs from Oberon are more grippy as they have a slot cut length ways down the middle of the studs and being alittle longer they help with the right side foot peg position.

If any one wants to see a pic of them fitted on my bike just pm me.

(being an olde fart I can't get my head round posting pics on the forum).

Very nice detail. Do you know if that piece is made to universal lengths and threading for say aftermarket rearsets (eg SATO Racing)? I'd like one for my GP shift R1. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing that nice subtle mod! I found Shift Tech's site and will call them tomorrow. There's mention of custom orders so I'll inquire. Thanks again, Dave
