It's displaying symptoms of a swollen tank...how about the keyguard, is it rubbing on the steering damper bracket?
The two tanks that have been replaced on my SF were displaying those symtoms when I requested replacements...it's up to you when you take it in to your dealer, will the dealer accept your pics as evidence of swelling and order you a new tank, or do you have to physically present the bike to them.

Not rubbing on the bracket yet but it is close. Fortunately the dealer is accepting the pics or so they say. We shall see. Crossing my fingers since they are two hours away.

The pic's look similar to what was happening on mine. Mine is in the shop now for replacement..... First one
As mentioned also look at the keyguard digging in from the dampner....

Check that. I just went to the garage and looked. The left leg side of the ignition cover is digging into the damper mount.

its a swollen tank... get it changed.. my second tank is swollen and i'm waiting for the third one from duc..... one more tank and here i come lemon law...
