Nemesis ECU and the Double Dog Exhaust install
Installed the Wide Band O2 sensor and development loom a few days ago. The development loom not only provides additional connections for other devices like quick shifters but also provides power to the lambda sensor.
1st problem and solution:
The manual calls for a connection to the accessory plug either behind the headlight assembly or on the right subframe rail. Needless to say, neither one exists on the Streetfighter. I wired in a simple switch to power the lambda sensor directly to the battery and hid it under the passenger seat cover (see attached photo).
2nd problem and solution:
The Double Dog Exhaust has (2) bungs for the OEM lambda sensors, however, they are both in the header tube for the horizontal cylinder (which is problematic when road tuning with the Nemesis. I welded in an exhaust bung for the vertical cylinder (see attached photo).
1st ride using Auto Tuning:
The bike runs GREAT! It no longer chugs along, surges, labors along when shifted to 4th and left to cruise along at 2500 - 3500 RPM it really is a different bike.
I would like to think Brian over at Boulder Motorsports for helping me out with the development loom and his patience in answering all my questions.
Have a question for the forum... Any ideas on why the bike wants to idle when warmed up somewhere between 2500 and 3000 RPM inspite of the set point being 1450 RPM?
I still need to move the Wide Band Lambda Sensor to the Horizontal Cylinder...perhaps that will take care of it.
