2012 Streetfighter S - new color
Well after the 848 version was announced, I wasn't quite sure what they were going to do with the 1098 version, or if it was technically staying around next year. Looks like I got my answer.
This one is on my dealers showroom, marked as a 2012 Streetfighter S 1098. Its not quite the flat black of the dark models, more of a flat gunmetal grey. Pretty cool actually.
I hadn't even seen this online, and its still not posted on Ducati's site. Correct me if you guys have seen it before.

I like the body color, but the red frame kinda clashes with it.

Yah I kinda like it.... Is it me or are the handle bars higher like the ones on the 848SF? It sure looks like it from that angle...

I think you're both right - the bars are higher and I agree the red does not go with the gray.
The new 2012 MTS also has a gray additional color, not sure if it's the same as this though.
I'll never buy a bike with primer instead of paint but it fits the bike well.

My local dealer has the same bike on their floor. I personally do not like the grey with the red frame either.
Not winning.

That gray is a weak attempt at the Senna scheme. ↓This is proper use of a Red frame:

I saw one on Thursday in dealer with same color scheme. It actually looks a lot better in person...
