Clutch

I got 12k miles on my duc.It seems ill be in 3rd gear at about 6k rpms maybe going 80ish. But if I just pull FAST on the throttle itll go..then ill hit the rev limiter real quick but i dont feel anything....like my wheel is spinning or clutch aint grabbing. I do a alot of wheelies...think my clutch plates need replacing?

I would say you need new clutch plates. With the amount of miles you have on the bike and the fact that you say you do a lot of wheelies puts extra stress on the clutch. Especially if you fan the clutch to get the front wheel up. Measure the stack height first. If it's within specs you may get away with just cleaning and scuffing the metal plates. If the clutch shows excessive signs of heat or warped plates you will need to replace it.

LOL funny enough I just posted about this same issue and the internet Guru have determined it to be a slipping clutch.
