It's all subjective.
Looks and performance, a balance only the buyer can relate to.

My only gripe with these shoot outs is a stock bike usually has some issues. Fixing known issues (fueling etc) should be done. Suspension etc.

If you are buying a bike, what are you going to leave stock? With the SF you have to look at it like any Ducati, fix the fueling and adjust/fix/replace suspension parts for your riding weight/level.

Otherwise six months later you will be pissed off that they sold you something that isn't perfect. Well, it never was. And neither was the shoot out.

Yes Gilly I would agree with you. What was interesting to me was the numbers or data that was delivered regarding the 11 deg motor against the SF motor.
I know there were alot of opinions about the possible motor change that seemed to never happened on the 2012 SF. It is a mute point now, but I found it interesting seeing the dyno numbers along with the mph speed in the quarter.

Was there a lap time listed? Did I miss it?

I admit I quickly scanned that article as I do most "Shootout's"

Please point me to it if there was one.

I also quickly scanned it. Suffice to say I believe they called the SF the winner. I guess that means something to somebody or even sounds good at Starbucks. It really comes down to the person.

No lap times given, but pretty sure we know what the outcome of that data would be.

What do you think the lap times would be on two SF's set up exactly the same with the only difference being the current motor and the other with an 11 deg motor. Both stock of course.
