Lubricate the clutch centre?

The service manual says "Lubricate the clutch centre" at 24.000 km. What does it mean?
Is it referring to the ball barring in the centre of the pressure plate? What do I use for lubrication oil or grease?
I guess I have to be careful only to use a small amount or I will destroy mu clutch.

The release bearing is a sealed unit, and it's inexpensive. I'd just replace it rather than try to lube it. Get one from your local bearing supply house rather than from your dealer because it will cost less. Take the old bearing with you so they can match it. It's a "6201 2RS".

I saw a you Tube vid of a clutch service on a 748. He recommended taking out the clutch rod nd greasing the end. The put it back in approx inch and spin the rod to lube the inside close2where yr bearing and clutch plate are going to sit once fitted. I might b wrong but if you have it off might as well.

Edit-
http://vimeo.com/m/8401825 this is useful nd even though it's for a slipper the principle is the same.

Allright. I didn't know it was a sealed bearing. I will just take you advise and change it when it dies.

Thanks.
