Warped Rotors

So I have about 5500 miles on my 2010 SFS. The front right rotor is completely warped. Too bad my warranty expired 2 months ago… So now I’m on the hook for a set of new rotors – heres where it gets complicated. Since Ducati is not going to warranty the rotors I have to pay out of pocket. Only the right side is warped. So I wanted to replace just the one side. Well the right front rotor because of the DTC is around $600 just for one OEM Ducati rotor. A set of braketech rotors (a set of two, left and right) is $800. The problem is that braketech haven’t finished producing the rotors and they will not be ready till December. My dealership says I will be the first to ever have aftermarket rotors put on the street fighter. I somehow found that hard to believe lol. So I’m stuck in a bind. It doesn’t make much sense to buy one rotor when I can get the upgraded set of rotors for just a bit more. But if I go for braketech my SFS will be down and out for 2 months!!!! Luckily I have my 1200 Multi so I wont be too hard up for a spirited ride, but still 2 months is a long time to just have my bike sitting. Has anybody else experienced something similar with having warped rotors?

hmmm interesting food for thought. I will consult with my dealership tmrw, but as of now those gotham rotors looks like by far the best deal. I just wonder how many miles are on those rotors and what they measure to?

We have done several sets of aftermarket SF rotors so far...
look to Galfer, or get going with Gotham...
Look outside your dealership for aftermarket support for the future, sage advice.

Very carefully...lol actually Ive done only a handful of trackdays on it but I have done some touring on it (1000+ mile trips) and I ride it very aggressively in the canyons on weekend. Maybe I'm too hard on the brakes? I called motowheels and they had a set of Galfers for $600 a set that would work with the DTC. So it appears that I'll be ordering them and installing them myself and saving a huge amount of $$ Thank you guys for all the input

As you are replacing them anyway and if the rotor thickness was still within spec, any chance of putting them in an arbor press? You're likely to get them flat enough for getting by the interum.
Might be worth a try.

The right was way out of speck and the left side was just a bit off from stock but still within spec. Rather than mill it I would rather just not chance it and get a new set.
