Fuel reserve light

Hi,

Ever since duc changed my engine my fuel reserve light hasn't been coming on. I didn't realise this but today my friend who bought my bike told me.

What could be the issue, a sensor? As usual, the dealer has no clue and has told my friend that if they open up the fuel pump under warranty and something else goes wrong they won't be responsible for it.

As with a car, when keyed on do all the lights on the dash show the low fuel light operational? Not sure about how the unit functions in the tank.

Yes it does.

What irks me is ducati's response to fix something under warranty. What they are saying is that if they try to fix this and break something else instead they won't be responsible.

Wow

Over here, the dealer is responsible for making sure that everything works under the warranty period. And they're especially responsible for any function of the bike that they break themselves.

It's like that over here too; at least with all other manufacturers. Only ducati is an exception is seems.

Seems like the only exception is you... don 't take that shit from them, tell them to fix it and if they break anything they sure as hell are responsible for it!!!

They tell you this cause they can get away with it - just tell them - "bullshit!" Call ducati and tell them what their dealer is telling you.

I'm going to make a big deal about this. Now that I don't own a ducati they can't threaten me. I have contacts for all the top bosses of Asia and am part of the local ducati riders group. I'm going to publicise this shit all over. They are a bunch of idiots who think that being a dealer just means selling bikes and cashing in.
