Air intake expansion tank?
Does anyone knows the purpose of the air intake expansion tank (located between the two air intakes under the key switch.
Guessing it has to do more with noise reduction rather than actual engine performance... any idea what the effect of removing it would be (less back pressure maybe)?

I'll check... probably just extra weight and sound damping to meet emission.

I mean the confusing part is that it's not even sealed... air goes thru the air intake to both the airbox and expansion tank...
so what would the difference be between expanding in the air or in the box since it's not sealed to begin with!
