Fs German polizei leather motorcycle suit

German police motorcycle (Polizei Lederkombi) suit from the late 80’s. These suits are rare and no longer used as they have been replaced by Gore-Tex and now the German states have introduced the blue uniforms. This is a 2 piece zip together suit which is a about a euro size 54 or around a US size 44. Suit is in good used condition. There is one small nick in the leather about 1 cm (see pic). There is no label in the suit but I suspect it is made by Hackel. The pants and jackets are fully lined. Suit has a heavy metal circumferential zipper to connect pants and jacket. All zippers and snaps work. Suit is from the Nordrhein Westphalen Motorrad Polizei..

I would say this suit would fit someone from 5’8 to 5’11” with weight of 195-210 lb. Here are measurements: waist of pants across the top 19 inches, inseam 29.5 inches

Jacket: armpit to armpit 22 inches, shoulder to wrist 25 inches and shoulder to shoulder 20.5 inches. Suit is worn with pants tucked into boots. I suspect someone small could wear suit if wearing body armor or backplate like Forcefield or Knox.

I used to wear this in San Antonio and it kept me from being a hood ornament more than once. At the time it fit my 5’11” 205 lb 17 34/35 dress shirt frame well. As I have been stationed in Germany for the last 8 years and cannot wear the suit without incurring jail time, well also my big ass drank too much German beer and ate too many schnitzels, it is time to find a new home. Well that and I need to buy some Vanson leathers.

Asking $500 shipped to anywhere CONUS.

Hmmmm, interesting.

Was it a very snug fit on you at 205lb?

I'm about the right height but only weigh 165. Yeah, I'm "wirey."

The suit is likely the most unique piece of protective gear I have ever seen. All you would need is a high/low siren on your bike. Its probably well made.

I would say if you use a Pro SUB 4 back protector and maybe a chest protector it would work. I have another one that is a scosch smaller. I can check the measurements when I return to the land of beer and brats. Currently I am avoiding the German winter in backassward Florida. Love the weather but the drivers suck. Did I mention the drivers suck??

The goretex suits that the Polizei use are made by Stadler. Stadler gear is $$$$$ on par with Rukka.

Yeah, I do a little horse trading with the German Polizei. They love US Army Goretex jackets. I have a more or shall I say less form fitting goretex suit without the marking that I wear when going across Germany. No Staus on the Bahn in this suit. Well that and riding a BMW with a white helmet helps.

The only good reason I can see for owning this is talking my neighbors wife into it (yeah I flagrantly disobey most of the other ten commandments too) and have her yell at me with a bright flashlight in her native tongue (she's VERY German)...

good luck with the sale though...

@ Velocidave,
I would love to have a video cam to watch some of the interactions between you two - I am sure that it would be SO MUCH better if you were to wear the POLIZEI leathedrs. LOL

What you do with the suit after the sale is your business.
