Roof have further improved the design of their iconic Boxer helmet with the launch of the new V8.
The new Boxer V8 retains the improvements that came about with the introduction of the Boxer V in 2007, but now has improved the chin bar and visor opening and closing. The interference and awkwardness that riders sometimes experienced with the chin bar catching on the visor has been eliminated. Visor closing is much more positive and it forms a better seal with the chin bar. You no longer get the scenario which sometimes led to difficulties closing the visor properly. When you lift the chin bar up this immediately moves away from the visor so you no longer get the problem which sometimes occurred whereby the visor lifted up with the chin bar.
Closeable ventilation in chin bar helps keep the rider cool on those hot days and reduces fogging on those damp cool days

The RO5 Boxer V8 is a full face helmet with a spherical screen and chin piece rotating to the back of the shell. It gives all the benefits of a full face helmet but can instantly give the freedom and comfort of an open face helmet when required.

The Boxer V8 uses the latest composite materials and fibreglass, plus 2mm thick bi-focal anti-scratch visor. Comes with both Silver Iridium visor (as pictured) and 50% Legal tint.
The Roof V8 helmet has been CE certified as both a full face helmet and a Jet helmet. The Roof Boxer V8 is the latest version of the iconic helmet, first launched in 1996. The unique flip mechanism has made this a design classic from the French manufacturer.
The outer shell is fibreglass with a vent on top and two vents built into the chin guard. The interior padding is removable and washable, the visor has a road legal tint as standard and is anti-scratch and anti-fog. When closed, the visor has a watertight seal. The chin bar is opened via the ratchet clips on either side. The helmet has full face European approval.
