Is the packaging indicative of anything that may have caused the damage? Were the parts rattling around loose? You definitely need to contact the seller. Try at least twice. If they do not respond, you can contact E-bay and open a claim. We've had successful resolutions with obstinate/deceptive sellers with E-bay's intervention. You may need to pay to ship it back, but I suspect a damaged unit will be difficult to sell for the same $$.
