FS: Monster S4R 996 engine, low miles

Selling a used, low mile (4K miles) Ducati Monster S4R 996cc engine in excellent condition.
Recent service work includes new belts and valve adjustment check.
Currently, there is no oil in the engine in case it needs to be shipped.
Included is the starter (works well).
Compression was checked and there is only a 5 psi difference between the cylinders.
Engine stand is not included in sale.
Engine serial number: RB55015366

Asking price: $1,600 which is about half the price of a rebuild.
The engine is located in SoCal.

If you need an engine for your S4R or want to upgrade an S4 this is a perfect replacement.

This engine will also fit the ST4S

Another application for this engine is the ST4S model.
It will not work for 916/748/996 models as the rear of the case where the swing arm mounts is different.
New price is: $1,400 + shipping.
