FS: Marchesini magnesium wheels for 748/916/996/998
Corse Marchesini magnesium wheels for 748/916/996/998.
These are for the big rear axle and large center front rotors, but they are 17" instead of 16.5, so you can run DOT rubber. Perfect for that Corse replica that you want to be able to use on the street.
Straight, no dings. As they sit, the paint isn't terrific. They're fine for the track but for street I can have them powdercoated for $200.
$900 shipped in the CONUS.

Ha, wish I knew you had these earlier. I had the full floater Brembo rotors for the large hub that I purchased from someone who said they were stock fitment. I couldn't find any 17" wheels anywhere so I ended up buying some new rotors to fit the mags I have...lol

By request, a few more detailed pics. As you can see, the holes for the mounting pins are not ovalled out or anything. Wheels are very good structually, but I haven't even bothered to remove any of the wheel weight and tape residue or wax them.
Also, the rear is 5.75 inch width.

I haven't done a lot of research on, or hunting for them, but here's a high quality set of discs for not much money...
eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices
I'm sure Erv, Tom Irvine, or a handful of others on this site could direct you to a Corse hub/axle, as well as other brake options if you decide to pursue this.

Dmitry
I have PM'd you.
But I had a set of the exact same wheels that are advertised here when I had my 996 race bike.
I machined a conical spacer (from aluminum) that is similier to the oem one but fitted inside the big wheel and over my stock axel size ... it was very simple and worked perfectly for years .... all the wheel needs to do is fit reasonably snug on the axel and the conical spacer that is matched to the cone in the wheel does the centering job. The locator lugs on the rear are exactly the same for both axles (big and small).
PLUS .... I have two sets of barely used large hub (corse) brembo narrow band rotors left over.
These cost heaps in the day (still do) but I will sell both sets for $750 (ie, for 4 rotors)
Hope this helps to sell your wheels Adam !!!

Funny! Ed, I thought about you too when I wrote that last post but hadn't seen you on the board in a while, and I know you already sold off most of your stuff (including the Mg swingarm and awesome Sil Motor full Ti exhaust I bought).

Yep, the rotors are pretty much the last of the corse stuff I have left to sell although I have kept a whole bunch of corse light weight gear pullies and other internal goodies for my SPS engine when I can get around to building it.
And I kept a set of Marchisini Mg wheels that have the OEM openings ... in case I get tempted to track the sps again !!
Since I have had no joy in selling the rotors as yet I am considering grafting them onto oem carriers.
That Sil-motor exhaust was indeed truly awesome ... did you sell it ?
