2001 748s motor 18k miles plus bore kit
Hey hey....
I am transplanting my girl with a 999 motor. 748 has no use anymore! so...
This motor is in amazing shape. Babied... never over revved or tracked. All service records from Ducati seattle. Logged oil changes every 2k miles. Has the good St4 heads with the asymmetrical lower exhaust cams. Dyno chart from DucSea putting down an honest 94bhp. No rocker issues. Serious. I have a new set of Ducati belts that have yet to be put on that are included.
Comes with starter but no clutch...
$750 obo
I also have a set of nice low mileage 1995 916 pistons and jugs. (4k miles) They still have the cross hatch marks on the cylinder walls.
Perfect for the budget 853 big bore kit.
$250 obo
Thanks,
Blake

Are you sure the 916 piston/cylinder specs are safe for the 853 conversion?

The pistons will not work. The cylinders will.

hmmm...
Yes the cylinders work and so do the pistons... You stack the base gaskets. Thats all... make sure the spacing is correct. Not hard. I can give you Bardsleys number at Eastside Motosports. He use to build race engines for ferracci and confirms this... I trust him.

IIRC, the 916 pistons are a different weight and would require assembly balancing. Although if you're rebuilding a motor, I would go ahead an do the crank and balance the assembly anyway. Others may have more info on this.
