The Nichols' website states that it will work with all SBK engines that are fuel injected, from 99' onwards. I would think that it would. They're pretty mellow guys. You can call them up and ask them and I'm sure they can allay any concerns you may have. Just tell them it is from the 998R engine they sold to a guy named Ken from SF and they'll know exactly which version it is.

I don't know Sam, but yeah, I assume that would be it. I was told there was a BST wheel involved by Nichols. Unfortunately, the damn thing was stored improperly and the residual race gas corroded the internal surfaces pretty badly. It's cost me a lot more money than I had anticipated to do the conversion. Good thing is, I've a great 7+ year relationship with Desmoto and they're doing a proper job for me.

My original engine is for sale. It's a great motor, just not the R version I always wanted.
