FS:2007 Monster S4RS

I am doing looking to sale my Monster and buy a 2008 or 2009 BMW GS 1200. The Monster isn't too good on the fire roads...

The Monster has been serviced at the local Duc dealer, at 7,500 miles, with 13,500 miles on the bike. I am the second owner, I purchased the bike with around 3,000 miles on it. The oil has been changed every 3,000 with Motul synthetic oil. Options are ASV folding levers, Ducati DP Gel Seat, Full Termi System, Rizoma front and rear blinkers, Rizoma rear sets, Lane Splitting Mirrors, Frame Sliders, Axle Sliders, Higher bend Handle bars, Riser Extensions for handle Bars, and New Michelin 2 CT Tires. Brake pads and clutch is newish.

I am looking at asking around $11,600, is that out of line?

Thanks, Mark

That's way above blue book, so only those with cash could partake. I paid $5500 for my '07 S4RS with 14000 miles, Termi exhaust, reprogrammed ecu, CRG levers, tail tidy, bar risers, led tail/turns , upgraded headlight, never down, one year ago. I know that was a deal, and just my opinion, yours is not. I guess it depends how bad you want a new bike. It may take a while to find a buyer at that price.

Around $6500 seems to be the average going rate for a tastefully modded S4RS in the 10-15k miles range.

I would suggest perusing some craiglist and ebay listings to get a better feel for the market. You will likely never sell at that price unfortunately.

Example; there's a clean 07 Black S4RS with 11k miles and some nice rizoma and speedymoto parts near me selling for $6450.

GL with the sale though! Looks like a sweet bike!

There are 2 on craigslist in my area (one in Tampa and the other Miami). Selling for $6950 and $7200.
Both have a list of options added to them just like yours and comparable mileage (Especially for here where you can basically ride 365).

In December 2008 I paid $9,500 for a one year old (2007), S4RS with 2,400 miles, termi exhaust, couple other bits. I sold it for $7,500 in 2012 with 10,000 miles. I'm considering going back and finding another one, but I won't pay more than I sold mine for.
Have you had any issues with tank expansion, do you have the red key - those are the first questions buyers will want to know.

Wow,
U sure did get a deal. So I guess I will keep my bike. I will never sell it for $5,500. It is hard to believe that BMW GS 1200 go for $10,000 plus with 40,000 miles and up.
Thx for everyone's input

I always find it crazy how much people ask for BMW's with tons of miles on them. Keep the S4RS!

How do I delete this post? I am keeping the bike and will look for a GS and just need to find room!
Thx,
Mark
