At least two of you already have SCs, let other people share in the glory!
Best of luck to the OP, having just bought one a couple months ago after 6 months of searching my advice is to hit Ebay, allofcraigs.com, and Cycletrader daily with the searches "ducati sport", "ducati supersport", and "ducati 1000". And when you see one at a decent price, don't hesitate! These bikes are becoming harder to find by the day. The ones that come up all seem to be owned by older guys who bought them because they love the throwback to the Duc's they lusted after in the 70s/80s, but when they got them couldn't handle the riding position. So usually the ones that do come up have low miles and are well cared for. However those have been rapidly going to younger guys like myself who plan on owning them until they themselves become old farts

I second this! I bought my 1000S from an older guy in Michigan with under 2000 miles (5000 or so now) and I will not let this bike go. Dry clutch, wet clutch, monoposto, biposto, fairing, no fairing, whatever. You find one, buy it. You won't regret it later. I just wish I could make it to Alaska and back on it. I had to buy a BMW two wheeled Land Rover (GS) for that...
