Rare Honda

This is a 1978 Honda CB550K, one of only 137,000 made. It is completely stock, right down to the keepers on the handlebars. It has the super fast Honda Racing stock exhaust. This exhaust was found on only 136,993 of all the CB 550k's made. It came equipped with the shorter "racing style" mirrors, commonly found on most CB550K's. It has the "custom" paint job applied by the Honda assembly line. For the younger riders here, those are "special" wire wheels, only found on older bikes back when wire wheels were pretty common. This Honda is in North California near Sacramento, and cannot be shipped unless you make all the arrangements. It has been in North California all it's life. If you live east of the Rockies, I may need references from your local mechanic prior to selling it to you. Stored indoors and under cover. Second owner from new. PM me if your wife will let you spend $1000.00 on this rare find. That's right $1000.00, just a months worth of baby formula, which you don't need anyway. More pics upon request.

Cool classic bike. Elk Grove resident here. Does she run? Any issues mechanically? What is the title/registration status?

SPF..No issues, clean title in hand, or in the files I should say. I had a PNO on it for a few years. Run it often and it runs good. No trouble. It is my wife's bike, but she rides a 749s and a 900 ss/sp now, so the little Honda must go on to greater rewards?? We have some spares, oil filters, plugs and something else. Also have a 1977 CB 400F I will be selling, a little cafe'd(good word?) seat and Jr. clubman bars exhaust. Anyway not for sale yet.

Cool thanks. Your post says bike is in Sacramento but your profile location says Meadow Vista. Where is it actually located? I need another bike like I need a hole in the head but it's a cool bike. May want to swing by to take a peek at it.

Yep you did say near. I misread your message. I travel between Sacramento and Reno every week between my two offices so it's easy for me to swing by Meadow Vista to take a look. I'll be in touch.
