01 996S Bostrom Tribute

Holy Shnikies - A DUCATI UNDER BLUE BOOK!!!! - $6500

Aftermarket:
PVM 5 spoke wheels
Braketech cast iron rotors
Paulimoto slave cylinder
Cyclecat 3 Piece clutch cover
EVR pressure plate
FBF Exhaust
Unichip single-injector chip
Aftermarket adjustable rearsets
Speedymoto sliders - rear, under fairing, and front
Carbon intake runners
Carbon rear hugger
Quick turn throttle cam
Aftermarket QC carrier with basically new chain and gearing (+2 in rear I believe)
EVR Crankcase breather
Basically brand new aluminum clutch/basket/hub
Turn signals integrated into tail section
Nichols flywheel nut
Carbon race battery tray with new battery
Upgraded starter wiring
Very new Q2s
Will include a shim kit (cost ~300 dollars)

About 14k miles now. All the goodies were installed in the last 2000 miles (when I did the 12k service, have purchase/belt tension receipts). Bike was lowsided on track by previous owner, but the only remaining damage is a scuffed waterpump cover (have a spare, but it is S4 motor colored, not SBK colored). Paint is perfect on everything but the tail, with some of the clear gone on one section of it. I have lots of the spare original parts as well as some spare bodywork (all side panels, a bit scratched, and a complete chinese Bostrom replica set, a rusty internally gas tank with a POR15 kit)

As you can see, on top of all the goodies that come standard on the S model, this has a lot of additional bits. It is also the limited edition Bostrom TRIBUTE color scheme (not the replica, front and rear numer plates are white, with italian flag colored outline).I just don't ride it enough and need to move. Purchased ~2 years ago with 9k miles.

The photos have some additional accessories that have since been removed, but the overall condition of the bike is the same.

Nice. I really like the flag touch they did on the S model 996s. Good luck

What makes it a Bostrom tribute? Just wondering...

The flags on the number plates, that isn't standard on every S. If you look at a Bostrom bike, the plates have the same flags, it's sort of a Bostrom sans company decals.

Oh you must mean when he was briefly on the Infostrada team. I wouldn't say it was a Bostrom tribute but more of a team tribute since it was on the other riders' bikes in 2000 as well.

In any case, where are you moving to? Just asking because if you were moving to the East Coast or something and were able to bring the bike... I know someone who would want a nice 996 but after shipping a bike last year that was not secured in the crate properly he's not going to go for shipping with Forward Air or something like that.

Yeah, I never found a specific name for the scheme, as I've only seen it on 1 or 2 other bikes. Someone else called it that so I adopted. Unfortunately, I'm not headed out east, staying local.
