I generally go down to the local Honda automotive dealer and buy their off the shelf pre-mixed coolant. Its good for aluminum engines and works great. I have run a water wetter mix and have not seen any real gains and it offers no freeze protection.
My 2 cents.

3150ml Shell Advance 50/50 premix coolant, with 350ml of Water Wetter. Runs about 10°C cooler than on straight coolant.

Rob knows we have a hard time getting shell products on this side of the pond, he is just rubbing it in

Plenty of that ultra expensive BP Oil floating around though.....
Seriously, I only use that stuff because my local Yamaha dealer was being made, by Yamaha, to switch to selling solely Yamalube products, so I bought a couple of cases of the stuff at better than half price. I've got a case left, so that's about 3 more changes then I'll probably switch to generic coolant. I doubt that the Shell product performs any better than the stuff I get from Halfords (our national chain of automotive supplies stores) to put in my V6 Alfa. As long as the coolant is formulated for use in the range of temperatures that you get where you live then it'll be OK (for street use anyway, if you're doing a lot of track work, you might want to buy a more specialised product).
Water Wetter works really well for me, but it is a pain in the arse to find over here. I ended up buying my last bottle from Ireland, of all places!

Many customers come to me prepping their bike for the track, so I flush the system of any glycol based coolant - the stuff that is SLIPPERY! - and replace with Distilled water and Water Wetter - 1 ounce to 1 quart of water. Works excellent!
