Motul oil issue!
I just recently performed an oil change on my 848 (..from the OEM Shell to Motul) and I am now experiencing clutch slippage. It is occuring in every gear, and is especially noticeable during roll-on at 60-70 mph (..even in 6th gear). Has anybody experienced this issue with Motul before? I'm very unhappy with this product and am considering going back to AMSoil (..which is what I used on my previous bike). Any suggestions? Thanks guys!

FWIW, any clutch that slips, will be more noticeable in the highest gear(s). It should slip the least in 1st, and most noticeable in 6th. True for cars, too.
The only way to see if it is the oil is to go back to what you were using.
If that cures the slipping, then you should ask Motul for your $$$'s back.

Which Motul oil did you use? 5100? 300v?

Try ELF Sport 4 Campione 10W60 or Elf 4 XT Tech 10W50. they are both JASSO MA and you will have no clutch slippage problems.

I got some Shell Rotella T6 (JASO MA spec!) that I'll be trying at my next oil change.

As long as the oil doesnt have any friction modifier additives in it, I cant see that affecting the clutch. Any motorcycle specific oil will never have any of the friction modifiers in it. If you look at the back of the bottle where the API label is, if it says "energy conserving" it will have the friction modifiers in it,
that might cause your wet clutch to slip. If it doesnt say that, you are safe
to use that oil in any wet clutch bike.

The rating you are looking for is the Jasso MA rating on the back of the bottle. If it has this rating then you should have no problems with clutch slippage because of the lubricant.
