Question Oil thats nice to my Gearbox!!

This is not another oil thread really as I do not really bother with trying to find the best oil only it seems that since the last oil change the gearbox appears to be kind of "clunky".

I did have Motul 5100 and at 9500km I changed to Shell Advance VSX 4 full synthetic. Compared to my triumph it is very metallic feeling when changing.

Hard to describe I know but does anyone know of an oil that is nice to gearboxes

Maybe I should just change back to the 5100 as it seems to have started since the last change of oil about 4000kms ago so I am due for another change soon hence the post........remember as long as its mc oil I do not mind.

any Clean MC oil is better than the "best" dirty oil.

You have just learned that there IS a difference in lubrication. If you put in one of the better oils, you do feel the difference.

I noticed this phenom on 2 bikes.
'00 Cagiva Mito 125EV & '00 Duc 996S.
Went from petroleum oil to syn oil.
I learned about what some call a "notchy" feeling when with syn oil.
Moving between gears felt metal to metal, almost.
I switched back to pet. on both...smoother and quieter.
