NEW Joe Rocket Carbon Helmet + REVIEW ...

I just picked up one of these for myself and wanted to get it posted up.....

Our JR rep had been raving about the Rocket helmets (made by HJC) and convinced me to try out one of the new carbon models.. They retail for $399.99....

I haven't ridden in the helmet yet due to the winter but my first impression is PRETTY damn GOOD! The liner is pretty good for this price range..

Scale of 1 - 10 I'd rate the liner a 7.5 .... Which is pretty DAMN GOOD!

The carbon is nearly flawless.. Vents well placed.. I'm told the breath guard isn't needed that it can be taken out

A cool feature is that there is a VISOR lock to keep it closed WHEN it's supposed to be...

They ALSO come standard with ROCKET helmet bag !!!!! wOOt

Thumbs up Cool

Thats pretty cool, let us know how the wind noise is. I have a Vemar CF helmet and I absolutely love it. I just cant justify 1K for a new one when I retire mine. The only thing I'd wish is that the Joe Rocket helmet did not use silverish vents. I think it kills the look of the helmet. Thats one area that the Italians still and probably always will kick ass, style and design but for 400.00 the Joe Rocket helmet is way better looking then the HJC IMHO.

How similar to the HJC AC-12 Carbon is this helmet? Is it the same shell with cosmetic changes? I have been looking to get the HJC but may give this a shot.
