Talking BOTM 848 race bike

Year: 2008
Model: 848
Eng size: 848
Pipes: stock/ a&r baffles
Wheels: stock
Accessories: Hotbodies fairings, Pirelli diablo sc tires, Pazzo levers, Renthal grips, Sato rear sets, Sato ride height adjuster, Racetech fork springs, Racetech shock revalve& spring, Driven/afam 14t front, 38-41t rear, Driven quick change carrier, K&N air filter, PC3 with custom map, Quickshifter, Speedcell battery, EBC brake pads, Silkolene fluids

Shopping for a new race bike to replace my RC51 i found a 08 848 with 2k miles and a salvage title. It had mostly body damage and a couple small dings in the frame from the upper tripple. Installed the body, rear sets, baffles, sprockets and new tires. Got in a couple track days then off to the races with top 5 finished at Loudon as a novice then moving up to amatuer and winning my first race on it at the next event. Clocked 180mph on the DDA at the 09 race of champions at daytona. During the off season with an eye on the budget upgraded the suspension, battery, PC# & quickshifter. Ran the full CCS mid atlantic and atlantic regions concentrating on F40, Supertwins & heavyweight supersport. Finished the 2010 season NJMP, F40 1st, Supertwins 2nd (2pts back)
Summit Point, F40 3rd, Supertwins 2nd, HWSS 5th Atlantic Division F40 1st, Supertwins 2ndMid Atlantic F40 1st, Supertwins 1st, HWSS 2nd. South East F40 2nd (3pts back), Supertwins 3rd, HWSS 4th. Turning expert for next season and cant wait. Plan on upgrading to cartrige forks and maybe shock

The bike is...just a race bike. Ho hum.

The riding, on the other hand... Now that is impressive.

why thank you, last season was alot of hard work for sure. Have 30mm offset tripple and slipper in the garage, sending forks out soon. Figured might as well enter the bike. how many times can you look at a street bike with ohlins and carbon fiber stuck everywhere and 2" chicken stripes
