Legit 916 SPa or just an ordinary 916 with a big bore kit? The SPa's didn't have 955 decals on the sides.

I know my stuff. Who are you?
No write up. No details. No VIN. One picture, clearly with non-original parts. And nowhere does the OP state "SPa", which is the official factory moniker.
So the question stands...is this one of barely 50 SPa's made, or is it a 916 with magnesium wheels and a big bore kit?

His bike looks to be very nice. It need not be an (ultra rare) Spa to be rare.
Your post sounded elitist to me, but I could be wrong, you know the interwebs.

Sure it's a nice bike. This is a Ducati forum. Almost everyone on here has a very nice bike. Not sure why it's elitist to ask if a bike posted with zero information about it is an SPa.
But you can say...

Didn't sound elitist to me, just asking thats all. BS flies in here just like it does on the outside.

+1. The one in my avatar is a genuine 955. And the fairing decals say "916"
Perhaps the original poster can fill us in with the details.

well said Nine16. Thats funny.
If that bike is a 955, its owned by someone with bad taste. Check out the forks, with the nitride and the gold "Almost the same as Ohlins" uppers, and the little sexy spinners on the top of the pre load adjustors, frame plugs, Ferracci half system, basically anything you can buy for a 100.00 at the dealer to feel like youre a part of the sport.
No offense to anyone who has these items, Im just saying they typically wouldnt find a home on a 955 SPa.
to each their own.
