2001 Ducati 996

This bike is in the same condition that you would have seen in any Ducati sales room back in 2001. Bike currently has 123 miles on the clock at the time of this post. Looks classic, brings back lots of good memories for other Ducati riders that remember the glory days of Foggy and the 1995-2001 era of these neat Superbikes.

Engine: Stock
ECU: DP 106 Chip w/power commander
Exhaust: 3/4 Arrow Ti
Forks: Ohlins R&T set up by Dan Collins
Rear Shock: Stock Ohlins
Steering dampener: Ohlins

Lots of carbon parts & a few customs made billet do dads at our shop. Internal airbox filters, Gold DID chain, new Dunlop Q2 tyres, all turn signals removed, DP air runners, CRC levers (new belts, oils, etc because bike was sitting in a large collection not used for many years)

Basically a stock bike that I bought 3 months ago with less than 100 miles on the clock. However, I purchased this bike to ride, ride, ride. & that is exactly what is going to happen in the next 6 months now that the bike is ready to be taken out and used. All stock parts removed and carefully packed in boxes for later use should a need arise.

So far, the bike rides nice and makes more power than my previous two 1995 916s and is comparable to my Bimota SB6 for straight line pull. However, it will take a little more time to get use to the 996 power curve compared to the older 916s that I like so much.

Thanks for the compliment. We have been having fun this past weekend. I think I'm finally figuring out the power-band thing...as it is very different than my previous 916s.

Yes, thanks. I kinda feel it was fate since I had a 1995 Ducati 916 stolen from my home 6 years ago and did not have insurance back then...so never collected a dime for the loss.
