And the story: We built a leaning reverse trike out of our 2002 Ducati Monster 620ie. We call it the TreMoto Monstrosity 620. We both have experience on the business end of many vehicle-related injuries, from broken arms to broken femurs. We were inspired by the potential of the Piaggio MP3, but wanted to push the design to an all-terrain motorcycle. When our day-dreams collided with our senior mechanical engineering design project, and Eddie's foot collided with a dirtbike frame during a low-side over Thanksgiving 2008, we decided we'd put our credit scores on the line to build a leaning reverse trike out of Rob's Ducati Monster. The suspension allows it to excel at every low traction situation that are problems for traditional bikes, without the handling sacrifices of a traditional trike. With tons more grip, dramatically improved braking, no low-sides, and reduced highsides, this thing makes no compromises. Since finishing our engineering degrees, we have established an LLC and filed a patent for the suspension; with the intention of bringing a product to market. We have some new pics of the TreMoto tearing it up on every kind of surface you can imagine. From dragging your knee on the pavement, to sliding all 3 wheels on the gravel, this thing amazes us more and more every time we refine the design.
