BOTM Desmose"Bici"
Greetings from a new guy.
A bit off standard, but here's my project (my other is a Hypermotard...)
This was originally sent as a test bike (I test the pedal type) and I sometimes cant resist playing with the format a little...
The bike was media blasted from original...
100% Carbon fiber from Kuota (Italian brand). Light weight, rigid racing frame used by a few pro teams.
Dressed in limited edition brakes
Of course there was only on transmition that was Ducati worthy, SRAM's RED.
Carbon wheels from Bontrager versus BST
Custom painted the raw carbon bars...
Special team edition saddle
Team colors front...
To Back...
Full story on the bike is here:
http://www.pezcyclingnews.com/?pg=fullstory&id=6180
Anyhoo, I built this ground up just to dress up the review a little bit. A side story is that I have done several of these bikes for GP and F1 and in every case, the year after I do the replica, the subject looses the Championship... Kinda the curse.
Great bike, weak engine
Hope you like it.

very VERY nice. If I had a bike like that I'd even consider taking up cycling again.

nice job! not sure how Marlboro fits in with cycling though
love the SRAM components and the brake calipers are pretty bitchin' too but wouldn't Campagnolo have been more "Italian"?
j/k, sweet ride.
edit:
i guess i should have checked the article first..

Yeah, theres a couple of conflicts...
I wasn't gonna put the damn bar code on the bike . No point in beating around the big red bush...
I did stick a warning on the Pack!
In true smoke company fashion I stuck it down under the BB area. You have to flip it over to see it...
I did get the Italian Transmition right on this project though...

Lol they're both around 13.
Matt that Trek looks like it's about a 53 or so? Are you about 5'8"? If so, yeah, you would actually fit
